Ready for my Valium

Well today is the four kids four and under day! House is all ready for it, beds all ready and big wooden stick ready (only kidding about that last one so please don't panic!). Been really tired the past couple of days so going to try and take it as easy as possible with the kids tonight, although i know thats easier said than done.
Been to the post office just now to pick up the CJ which was waiting for me and i'm thrilled to have it back home. The theme was confessions and the girls in my CJ team have all done an amazing job. I'm going to ask if i can put the pics on my blog and if that's a yes then i'll share it with you later in the week.

did this layout last week, again with the Scrap Studio kit for August (still some left if you fancy it!) and i did the Crafty Pastimes class which was on UKS last month. I really enjoyed this class and as i have loads of photos i may do this again to try and catch up on my ever growing mountain. I don't often do multiple photo pages but am coming to the realisation that if i don't start doing some more soon I'll never get them done.

Onto this weeks HSMS Prompt, Saturdays are now self portrait day and i'm having palpatations in the morning waking up and knowing what has to be done. This is very scary for someone as camera shy as me. I know it's something that i need to get over but i just hate photos of myself, i always have one eye twice the size of the other, a huge double chin, wonky hairline, age spots, underplucked eyebrows etc etc.....

So here it is, no make up, no tripod (woah this is hard!) took about 20 shots just to get this but i've desaturated it and made it a bit darker to try and hide some flaws! LOL, maybe soon i'll be a little braver...diet allowing!

Well i was trying to find Emily's Thomas the Tank Engine for choo choo but it seems someone came in in the middle of the night and ransacked their bedroom.....but didn't steal anything so this is my HSMS prompt today. This is how i manage to do so many all nighters when scrapping although to be honest last night really took it's toll. I was up til around 1.30 but then the two brothers next door were trying to kill each other til 3.30 this morning which i could hear even when wearing ear plugs! So this morning i dropped the girls off at nursery....asked if they could stsy til 4, came home and went to bed!

Just trying to wake myself up a bit now before i go and collect them. Big Brother Final Night tonight which i know i'll watch, however i've been so bored in the last two weeks that although i've watched i've been doing other things at the same time and not glued to it like usual - think i'm going to give it a miss next year...although i say that every year.

This is another of the layouts i did as Guest DT for the Scrap Studio and i think this is probably my favourtie so far of the three that i did.

Don't know why the photo seems a bit hazy but this is one of my favourite photos of Pete and Emily who really is a proper daddys' girl. Well, i have a long night of cleaning ready for the descent of the hordes tomorrow night.....wish me luck...i may just need a lot of it! X

Quick week!

Not sure why but this week seems to have flown by...i'm glad it has as Freya has been out her dads this week so i'm looking forward to getting her home on Sunday but first i have a BIG challenge. I've offered to look after my niece and nephew overnight on Saturday so my lil sis can have some R&R with her better half. Four kids four and under isn't something i'm relishing...especially as Pete is away and with the two eldest not being home it's literally me.....and a bunch of preschoolers. Scared.....me? Nah, the more the merrier...i'm sure if i hadn't been sterilised i'd have popped out at least one a year til i could no more...i'd be like the old woman in the shoe.

There is a small part of me can't wait for the kids to leave home so we can have the 'us' time that you just don't get when you enter into a second marriage. We already came with kids in tow so we didn't have that silly time you get where you're so wrapped up in each other that everyone else gets pushed to the side.....you just don't do that when you have kids. But one thing we do normally do is go away together for a night on our birthday......we both share a birthday you see. I must admit that when he told me this i thought it was a line....you know like.....'oh really, that's my mothers name' type of thing. In fact i made him dig out his driving licence to prove he wasn't lying to me (trusting aren't i?).

It's become a kind of tradition that Pete and I go out for a meal on our birthday and stay the night at a hotel. This little trip has usually been financed by family slipping us a few bob and it's always a night where we seem to pour over how our relationship has changed in the previous 12 months. This year however, Pete goes back to Scotland the day before our birthday and then theres every chance that i won't see him again for over two months and that really makes me sad. It's been a difficult few years with the vast majority of the last two spent apart. Come November I'll only see him from late Friday through til Sunday evening for another six months and then he'll be back on another sub which has a deployment planned so possibly another 7 or 8 month sea stretch. I don't think any naval wife ever gets used to it....we just learn to cope and adapt (or at least cope on the surface). I guess tonight is just one of those times where i just want to let Pete know how much i love him, appreciate him and care about him because i know he reads this on the sly.......... LOVE YOU BABE! X

Dish of the Day

What a great day i've had.....firstly, posty bought me the new Scrap Studio mag so it looks like everyone is starting to get their kits and i can share some of my lil projects with you fully. I rang Freya to say the mag is here as she is at her dads this week and she's so chuffed that her photo is in the magazine, I can't wait for her to see it properly.

So I'm riding high on the way of feeling wonderful to be in the mag with such talented people. There were some great projects in there and i'll definately be making one of Cleos mini books again....that girl is sooooo talented.

Another project i made was an altered tin and box. This was the packaging that the lil birdies came in (these were just the cutest). The inside box was the perfect size for a Maze book.....one of the easiest little books to make, very fast and perfect as a quick project.....if you haven't made one yet or am wondering what the heck i'm talking about....the instructions can be found here. I'll share some more work tomorrow but have loads of other stuff to ramble on about first.

I was up late again last night and when i scrap i listen to Talk Sport on the Radio...actually it's on in my kitchen all the time as i'm a bit of a football queen but i also love listening late at night as it's funny listening to callers to the James Whale show who seem to fall into one of two catergories...either they have a massive chip on their shoulder about something (or most things) or they are completely barking mad! The times i've laughed out loud late at night whilst everyone else has been asleep are numerable. Anyway...i had a little credit left on my phone and they had a lowest bid auction thing to win a DAB radio and i sent a couple of texts and got a call this morning to say that i'd won! So chuffed...£3 worth of texts and i've got a DAB radio coming to me...i have no idea what it's like and i have a lovely DAB stereo in the living room so this may be my upstairs one from now on as i'm stuck with FM up there and not a great reception.

So my late night scrapping was a success in more ways than one...i got another two layouts done using a Jenni Bowlin kit which i've had for ages. I've actually cancelled my subscription now as they weren't really my thing....i'm not really a 'pretty pretty' scrapper so the papers and embellishments were always a bit too muted for me. At least i got a couple done though but i won't share them just yet as i'm using them for something else.

What i will share with you though is my HSMS photos for today. The prompt was dish so here are mine...check out that moss growing on our satelite dish!

But of course my favourite dish is this one.........

Cloud

Not long to play today as it's been mammoth shopping day and i'm so tired at the moment. Spent last night scribbling in notebooks some layout ideas whilst watching a bit of TV....will be so glad when Big Brother ends this week! Think i may chill out on the PS2 tonight and pretend i'm a world class snowboarder as i'm aiming to pull an all nighter tomorrow with some layouts for a competition so that'll keep me busy.

So heres my HSMS prompt for today, believe it or not it's actually lovely and sunny but there are a few menacing looking clouds threatening their ugly wispiness.

Hope everyone is having a great day.......hopefully tomorrow i'll feel a little less tired. X

Apples of my eye!

Well what a funny old day it's been today. Both girls seem whacked already, Natasha is having a nap and as i was just taking my 'apple' picture and others i heard a slight snore behind and turned around to see THIS..........

Emily had fallen asleep sat on her chair in the play room with a shopping basket on her head.....yup basket case indeed!

Spent a busy night crafting. In fact i didn't go to bed til 3am so am a bit pooped myself today so must try and get an early night tonight however it's a football night so i know it's unlikely to happen. I finished my last entry for the Winter Warmers Newbie CJ over on UKScrappers. If you're part of the CJ then look away now if you don't want a spoiler! Too late.

This one was a 'Power of Words' CJ and all about your favourite book. I must admit that reading anything other than the newspaper and the occasional glossy hasn't been of much priority over the last 10 years, well not since i was pregnant with my eldest but i'm making an effort now to put that to bed. After being dragged in to watch the Hogfather at Xmas on Sky One (very reluctantly) I fell in love with the film and in particular....Death (the character of course, just in case you hadn't seen it thought i'd better point that out!).

So since then i went out and bought the first seven Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett and started reading them last week and I am totally loving it. I've never been someone into Fantasy books but his wit and imagination is just phenomenal. If you haven't read these books, do give them a try...even if they're not normally you're thing because they are just so damn funny!

I used all the goodies from the July Scrap Studio kit and i must admit to not having a lot left of it now, maybe enough hand cut bits and titles and ribbons for one more layout and a couple of cards so hopefully i'll use that all up tonight. It's posting day for the August kit today and i can't wait to get my copy of the magazine with my guest DT bits in. I really am so excited and then i can also share what i've done with you.

I finished another layout this afternoon that i started last night.....it's actually a class from the Summer Fun workshops run on UKS last month which i didn't have time to do when they came out.
This one is from the Love Is...by Crafty Pastimes class...you can see all the classes here......i've seen some great work in the gallery on UKS done during the classes so am going to dip in and out of them over the next week or so. As the layout was done using kit which hasn't gone out yet i'll just show a sneaky peak and then i can share a load of stuff with you once i know everyone is getting their kits from Scrap Studio.

Well finally, the HSMS photo today was apple! I don't have the best apples in the house at the moment as i am in dire need of a good food shop so this is it for today. Hope everyone is well and the weather isn't as miserable as it is here wherever you are. Right, off to check out some galleries! X

Finally!

Something i can share fully with you. Been working on this Lippy Chick book since Friday (very slow for me to be on and off but loads of handcutting and Ice Stickles cannot be rushed). It's all photos taken at the Wacky Warehouse in September last year. Everything i used was from the July Scrap Studio kit which came with the most gorgeous Cherry Arte papers.....these are definately my kind of colours!

There was also a full sheet of the Hambly journalling overlays which are lovely. I write on mine using a Sharpie poster paint pen with a very fine nib. They are lovely pens to use, certainly the best white pen i've found so far and believe me i've tried a lot of pens. I've also found the best way of adhereing them is with the glue dots 'didi dots' if it's not possible to disguise your glue. I'm hoping to use some of the transparencies on my acrylic album which i'm hoping i may be able to share a taster of next week.

There are still a few of the July Summer Fun Kits available to buy from Scrap Studio here, so if you like the look of the colours and things go and check out what other goodies you get with it, i haven't even touched the mountain of alphas in there yet so i'm going to do another layout tonight aswell as my final CJ entry for the Winter Warmers Newbie CJ.
The covers of the books i've always struggled with in the past and always left blank but i was determined to do something with it this time even if it did just end up with some doodling on the front. We had a great time seeing the family and it's now more significant than ever as it was shortly after we came home that Petes dad was taken into hospital.

After these photos were taken we all sat down and had our last meal out with them. We had a great time....laughing at how messy the kids were with their food and managing to get Petes' mum to have a glass of wine. I guess these are our last real moments with John as he deteriorated so rapidly that the next and last time we saw him he was in a hospital bed.Freya knows that grandpa grumps has passed away and Natasha was too young unfortunately to ever really KNOW her grandad but Emily asks about him all the time and isn't aware of his passing. She often says she wants to go and see grandad john and nana Rose but at 3 it's hard to explain to her what happened.

So hopefully little books and memories like these will mean that much more to her when she's older.

Sun

Well there's plenty of it at the moment, especially considering bank holidays usually end up a wash out...but to be honest unless it's dusk or dawn i have no idea how best to photograph the sun and couldn't think what else to photo as i've no sunflowers. So the sun is behind the clouds here but you can see it's very bright! LOL

I thought i would include though a photo that was taken was Freya was just 18 months. It's one of those posed studio shots that you get vouchers for when you have a baby, i'm sure you all know what i mean. Well when i saw them i fell in love with them, which is not how i look on them now. Don't get me wrong, Freya looks cute and everything.....but this has come to be a perfect example of what i no longer like about some professional photographers. It's so staged, obvious and rigid. Now i just love the natural look, the unposed photos that look so genuine......that's what i'd like to be able to do, not try and make a picture interesting sticking some poor child in an oversized flowerpot and waving a teddy at them! Thank god there are better photographers out there now!

26 Aug 2007

The HSMS prompt today was something a little different - This is the day when Kirsty and i take a little rest and you can post any photo (past or present) that you are particularly pleased with. It could be that you are pleased with the composition of the photo, a technical aspect, or it is just a moment that you are glad that you captured. It doesn't have to fit any theme, so you are completely free to choose and tell why.

This photo was taken about two and a half years ago and is just one of those photos which when i saw it i fell in love with. This is Emily at her best - MUCKY! My kids are always filty, always covered in muck and stuff.....if i clean them, they manage to be filty again 5 minutes later. So many photos of the girls have them covered in all sorts of stuff and i just fell in love with this picture as she looks up to me with that 'butter wouldn't melt' face that I KNOW usually spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E! I do have messy kids, i do have manic kids, I do have very boisterous kids, but by god do i have loving kids and i'd prefer them to have clean hearts than clean hands.

It's been a long old day today, not been feeling my best the last few days and today has been one which was physically and emotionally draining. I took Pete to the airport this evening and said goodbye for another 3 week stint and felt very hollow on the way home. I guess that in his last two weeks home I've had one of those moments that you get every now and again where you realise what is and what isn't important in life. We don't have a lot in life, no big car (well actually it's massive but more in a bus way than a gleaming hummer), no fancy house, no giant nest egg and one month can be a struggle into the next.....but i have such a beautiful family, one that hugs, holds and loves one another and i'm grateful for that every day. Hold your family close to you. Have a good bank holiday everyone. X

AAARRGHHHH

Right, so i loathe my photo being taken, i have very few photographs of me taken in the last 5 years and now HSMS is going to make Saturdays self portrait day?! Think i may be missing saturdays from now on. This one has been done out of necessity as i needed to send one to Scrap Studio but other than that i hate my photo. One eye comes out massive and the other looks squint (hence this shot so you can't compare them). Lets hope now that i lose 3 stone before next weeks portrait! have a lovely bank holiday weekend, it really is beautiful down here. X

TFI Friday!

The two ickles are at nursery...Freya and best mate Shannon are still in bed and DH is asleep too so i have complete peace in the house for a few hours. I can hardly see the PC Screen downstairs so have no idea how this pic for HSMS prompt looks to be honest as there's far too much glare on the screen to see anythig properly but here goes. Took these of the side of the conservatory...also took some of the steps too but as i can't see to make sure they're straight i'll leave that and upload later. Right off to finish some projects. It's gorgeous here this morning...hope it is where you are too. X

Just edited to add a sneak of a project i've just finished. Got to say I am loving the colours of the Scenic Route papers and Bazzill in this month Scrap Studio kit and grab one quick because they're despatched after the weekend.

New Goodies!

Well hopefully i'll be getting a little delivery tomorrow from the wonderful Craft Obsessions. This shop is my fave for one big reason - their customer service is second to none. Not only are they fast shippers but Brenda and David are so friendly and help with everything you're looking for. So i was on the site looking at the new arrival last week when i noticed these clear acrylic albums. Thought that they didn't look much and didn't bother. I called and spoke to David on Tuesday to ask if he had any craft knives in and he asked if i'd seen the new albums. When i said that i didn't really see what the fuss was he pointed me to the examples on this website here

Look at these:

So you can guess what my next little project is!

Absolutely Awesome!

Had a fantastic day! Freya made a card to give to Pink at the concert, strapped it to a teddy bear and then we were off! Firstly me and Freya spent an extortionate amount of money shopping....clothes for holiday, back to school stuff etc. She bought a really cool bright yellow long tee with black skull and crossbones on it and looked fabby in it, i swear that girl could be a model! Mum on the other hand gasped at everything she 'couldn't' try on...lets just say i've got to get back on the diet wagon on Monday...so obviously will pig out this weekend LOL. One thing that isn't fat on me though is my feet so bought a lovely pair of new shoes to replace my soon to be retired crocs. I love my crocs but there comes a time when everyones wearing them that they lose the quirkiness that you loved about them in the first place so i bought these beauties, actually went to buy another colour too on the promise of a little discount if i bought two pairs but they didn't have the brown and pink ones in my size - poo! I did treat myself to a little splurge in Coast though, a nice little outfit for my holiday which i'll keep a secret til then.....and keep the reciept a secret til my grave!

When we got to the venue we still had a long wait in store but kept ourselves amused by chatting with the rest of the people waiting patiently. Freya gave her card and leopard teddy to one of the security guards in the hope that it may get Pinks dressing room, bless her, she even included her phone number incase Pink fancied a chat! We queued for three hours outside and got right down the front for the concert. Freya was completely mad for it...screaming as soon as Pink came on stage, singing her heart out and ramming her fist in the air in time with the music. Pink got into the gap between the stage and the audience and after briefly holding her hand, Freya has now vowed not to wash her left hand ever again! Awesome concert and now i want to go again.

So i'm absolutely knackered at the moment...eyes still bleary and loads to do today so going to catch up on gallery comments and do a little online stash shopping - naughty naughty. Little story for the HSMS prompt today. When i got home last night, Pete asked me how good a mood i was in.....i hesitatedly (is that a word?) said 'good - why?'. Well apparently, 3 year old Emily had decided to paint her nails last night so crept into our room, opened the red polish and painted not only her toes and fingers but almost the entire room. Apparently it looked like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre had occured with red splats not only over the leather pc chair, all over her body and clothes...but also over my 'white' sheets! So heres a peak at what i came home too. I asked Pete if he'd taken a picture of it all when it happened and he almost looked at me as if i was mad.....guess he'll never be a scrapbooker then!

The second pick is just a quirky take....this 'sculpture' is in the Eden Project and just represents all the white goods that people throw out

22 Aug 2007

I'm so excited!

Actually i'm really knackered too but so excited, tonight me and my 'best friend' (HSMS PROMPT DON'T CHA KNOW)are off to see PINK - AGAIN!

Just off to have a shower, get changed etc and then we're off for a girlie day and night together. Thankfully the sun is shining brightly as i didn't fancy three or so hours of queuing in the rain so fingers crossed that stays with us.

This girl is truly my best friend. WE've been through a lot together and she's been the only constant in my life. Her cuddles are the best, her humour is the strangest, and she's all mine.......Enjoy your day. X

21 Aug 2007

Yup i'm still here....

.....and as the HSMS prompt is up, I thought that i'd add this before the girls get up. DSLR still upstairs so crappy camera at the ready for wet(wipes)! It's actually been dry over night so not much that's wet to photograph and as i'm yet to go to sleep my brain can't think of anything else!

Well at least the light is a bit better now so i can leave you with a sneaky peak of what i was working on last night.....enjoy..(cos i did!) Posty has just been and delivered my new CJ to do, so going to grab a coffee and have a leisurely look through....the kids will definately wake up then just to spite me!

Another all nighter...

Yup it's not quarter to 5 and i'm still up! May aswell stay up now til Pete gets up and then hit the sack for a few hours. But i've almost finished layout 2, just got to wait til i can use the upstairs printer for some journalling which i can't do when Pete is asleep unless i want to be battered to death with a pillow!

I mostly hand journal on my layouts, mostly because i'm too damn lazy but also because i think it's that much more personal. However, i don't have the best hand writing in the world so in light of this being a DT submission i thought i'd make it a bit more legible! LOL. I've also started a couple of extra bits to submit and if they get used great, if they don't, i know they'll be used here anyway. So i've been a busy little bee and should have completed everything by tomorrow night to make way for so many other things i have to do.

Wednesday is a trip into Plymouth to make sure that Freya is kitted out to go back to school. We're having a girlie day shopping and lunching...we don't get the chance to do it very often as she's at her dads most weekends but it's fun when we get the opportunity. Then in the evening we're going to see Pink in concert and I really can't wait. Freya is so excited, especially after watching the DVD of her last concert (which i saw...and she moaned about me seeing!).

Thursday i have to do my final CJ entry, post off and then wait (impatiently) for my 'Confessions' CJ to make it's way back home after an 8 month abscence. I really can't wait to see what everyones deep dark confessions are.....I am soooo nosey are't I?!

Did try to take some pics earlier...just sneeky peeks of the stuff i've been working on but as the only camera down here is a 2megapixel instant jobby and the light is horrendous...all the colours looked bizarre so i'll wait til tomorrow afternoon after i rouse from a well deserved sleep before i get take some decent photos.

Natasha went into a bed tonight....fell out twice (luckily its very low) and has been plonked back in again with her 'silky' (don't ask, will explain another time when i can't think of anything else to write) and dummy. Was an absolute mare getting her to go to sleep and not wander around the bedroom though. Oh well, it can only get better tomorrow night......or can it?

Will leave you with another layout i did a couple weeks ago but didn't upload. This is another using the Roxie kit from 'Love..Elsie'. Will see you all tomorrow evening with my HSMS photo. X

20 Aug 2007

Plant!

Well as the weather isn't built for an outside journery today i've had to use this from my 'back catalogue'! This was one of the first pics that i took using my first DSLR and it's probably the best purchase i've made. The love must've rubbed off as my step mum ended up buying the same model a couple of weeks ago...and she doesn't even have a PC LOL!

Plants are not my strong point, we have an unruly unlevel garden which needs a complete overhaul and i've never been greenfingered. Even house plants usually have only lasted a few weeks - if that! The longest plant that i managed to have was a tall spikey cactus which became so bulbous after about 6 months i had to throw it out as i couldn't replant the thing and it kept toppling out of it's pot. Like i said......not green fingered!

My Tesco vouchers came through this morning so i've sent off a request to change them to OU Vouchers to do the photography course they run in October and i can't wait. I've been quite brave with my camera and messed around in Photoshop Elements, stuck in in Manual (and even manual focus, someone get this woman a bravery award!). I'm shooting in RAW and now i want to learn what makes a good photo. After i've done the OU course i'm going to have a go at Cheryls courses that she runs online as there's been a lot of positive feedback about those and hopefully she'll run another after i've done the OU course.

They all loved the Simpson movie last night and were straining to tell me every last detail....luckily, i am still oblivious and will wait til it comes out on DVD. I have a ton of DVD's to watch but there just doesn't seem to be the hours in the day at the moment. Maybe once Big Brother ends i'll no longer become a prisoner of reality TV! Freya made another two cards last night, one for her auntie and another for her cousin so i'd better get cracking and make some more this week, I hate leaving things til the last minute, i like to start something and then not stop til it's done. I'm like that with layouts. It hasn't to get to the completed stage that day although i could spend days planning something now.

Pete is now dismantling Natashas cot and setting it up as a bed. When we go to Butlins in four weeks she'll be in a bed so thought i'd better get her used to it now. Probably in for a long night tonight! Was going through some layouts last night that i'd done in previous weeks and realised that i hadn't shared them on here so will upload one now for you.

This is a bit new for me, i thought i'd try my hand at a bit of freestyle with Junes Scrap Studio kit which was the Love Elsie Roxie range. I'm still not sure that i like it although i'm happy with the layout premise if you get what i mean. After having two girls and then becommming pregnant it seemed that everyone thought i'd be disappointed when i found out i was having another girl. Even my dad would say how lucky my sister was that she had one of each. But to me, what's more important is that i have three children who all have very different and unique personalities. They all have different things i adore about them, and they all have different things that sometimes drive me mad, so why does it matter what sex they are? I love my girls and feel more sorry for Pete who now lives in a house outnumbered 4 to 1 by women, can you imagine what it'll be like when all the hormones kick in?! No wonder he never wants to leave the Navy!

19 Aug 2007

Busy Busy Busy

So i've completed one layout for the Scrap Studio DT which obviously you can't see at the moment but i may put a sneaky on tomorrow to tempt you to part with some of your cash....go on, you know you want to!

The two eldest stayed up last night and began making cards for the mammoth amount of birthdays coming up between now and Xmas. Not only do i have three kids birthdays (all within 4 weeks of each other) but my neice, nephew, sister, myself and Pete, Pete's mum, petes sister and petes nephew all to do so they made a start last night and made a card each from them for Natasha (who turns 2 the end of October) and Emily (who will be 4 a month later). I get the 'Lets Make Cards' mag for lazy card making and also because it's easy for the kids to follow when they do their cards so they joined me til around 2am this morning doing these two which they were both really proud of.

It was gone 6am when i dragged my butt off to bed and i woke at 1pm and went downstairs to find my mum had come over and started prepping my roast for me and put the chickens (yes with 7 mouths to feed it is plural on purpose) in the oven. I even made yorkshire puds from scratch as Auntie Bessie had let me down and not magically made enough puds to go round. I'd only made from scratch once and they'd been a disaster but this time i was like a domestic goddess which lovely high rise yorkies which tasted scrummy....who needs Auntie Bessie eh?

After much groaning about the size of the meal, everyone still managed to demolish a banoffee tart afterwards plus i still have half a chicken for curry tomorrow night! So the kids played off their huge dinner by turning the wheeled puzzle chest into a truck in the garden! Natasha wouldn't get out which started a fight with Emily.....guess which one came off worse? Yup, bigger sis Emily ended up with the tears and the plaster despite a two year advantage on Natasha Caitlin......the rivalry between these two is fierce!

Freya on the other hand just chilled after lunch, i think after a couple hours swimming this morning she was a bit pooped out, even the extraordinary amount of sugar containing sweeties that Nanny always brings round couldn't rouse her from her 'i just want to sit' mode. I did get her to sit still long enough to take some photos. I'm so happy that she's back home as i miss her so much when she's at her dads and sometimes i just want to eat her she's so scrummy. I mean, look at those eyes and lips...no make up, no enhancements nothing....and she's simply gorgeous. Luckily she has her dads skin tone and not my whiter than white complexion. This girl has a perma tan and looks fabby for it, dark hair, dark skin and dark eyes...a classic little beauty but then of course i'm biased!

Pete has just left to take my mum home and then it's off to the Simpsons Movie for him, Freya and Robert. Me? Well i've got a little housework to do, two kids to get into bed, some online catching up and then onto my second DT layout and a lil project i want to do. Whatever you're doing have a great evening and i'll leave you with my HSMS prompt which today is 'can'. This 'can' has a story, it's been sitting in my cupboard for far far far too long. One of my best and oldest friends has been living in the NE now for the past 12 years and raves about Pease Pudding. Never seen it, don't know what it is but apparently you put it in a butty. However when i (pleased as punch) told her that i'd managed to find a tin in Tesco i was shot down in flames and told NEVER eat tinned Pease pudding, only fresh! So here it is, sat, lonely, unwanted and unopened. Poor Pease Pudding!
